How often does the decorator in an HGTV series put the books back where they were? And if they do they are piled up for use as a decorative lamp stand. On one show they had a family room with built-in bookcases and the homeowner insisted the books be kept. This didn't keep the decorator from turning some of them on their sides for use as bases, and the shelves were still dotted with tchotchkes (sp?) and other useless stuff that had to be dusted!

I love Don Aslett's decluttering books, but he apparently sees no reason to keep books--you can get them at the library, he says. It's not the same. It's just not the same, and the non-readers don't understand. :-(Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00684124498981972463noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6653682124524745578.post-47840001555599523662011-11-08T13:29:17.165-08:002011-11-08T13:29:17.165-08:00A very sad moment happened about two years ago whe...A very sad moment happened about two years ago when a being assigned by Company A to help me clean and organize came into my tiny apartment and asked in all seriousness "WHAT DO YOU NEED ALL THOSE BOOKS FOR?" Hence forth I looked upon that being which looked so human as an Alien Life Form and included her in my prayers for those in Trans stellar space that have yet to hear the Gospel.Zeke OF Confettiihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09722906174731156535noreply@blogger.com
